Acupuncture Pricing FAQs
Do I need to commit to a certain number of visits? No — you pay per visit with no upfront commitment. Your rate simply improves as you continue care.
How does my rate change? Automatically, based on your overall visit count.
Do I lose my rate tier if I take a break? No — once you've earned it, it's yours.
I've been a patient here before. Do my previous visits count? Yes — existing patients are placed in the tier that reflects their full visit history with us.
What if I'm using insurance? Insurance patients are billed at the contracted rate with your plan. The tiered pricing applies to self-pay patients or insurance patients who run out of benefits. See the insurance section below.

Unfortunately, we are not covered by any Medicare or Medicaid plans at this time. We have also decided to suspend acceptance of all Cigna plans until Cigna and its contractor American Specialty Health honor their commitments to their members currently under our care.
Please call 502-632-4061 if you have a question about your plan.
If you were injured in an auto accident, your auto insurance policy may include Personal Injury Protection (PIP) coverage that can be used to pay for acupuncture treatment. Please let us know when you schedule so we can walk you through what to bring to your first visit.
If we are not in-network with your insurance company, you may still be able to seek reimbursement for your visits if your individual insurance plan covers acupuncture.
We're grateful to be living in a time when more and more health insurance companies are covering acupuncture. Unfortunately, some companies and plans still do not cover acupuncture, and most others put maximum limits on the number of acupuncture visits allowed in a year; limits that are often reached before you find full and lasting relief.

We want to make sure that doesn't happen to you. If your health insurance does not cover acupuncture, you run out of insurance visits over the course of a year, or you don't have health insurance at all, don't worry, we've got you covered with our self-pay tiers.
Plans & Pricing Rules
Self-pay rates are discounted from amounts billed to insurance due to reduced administrative work, billing, and holds on payment. Self-pay rates are only valid if payment for acupuncture is received the day of or in advance of treatment. Self-pay pricing may not be used toward any insurance deductibles, coinsurance, or copays or toward PIP claims.

Your pricing tier is based on the total number of acupuncture visits you have completed at Turtle Tree. All prior visits count, including those previously billed to insurance.

Rates are subject to change at any time. A 3-5% rate increase on select products and services may be necessary once per year to keep up with rising costs.
